Brief Summary of Unit

This unit will cover the events leading up to the American Revolution and everything that transpired during and after the war. There will be an in depth look at the American Revolution. The origin of the Revolution will be covered in great detail. The course will cover what key leaders were involved, what battles took place and where they took place. There will be numerous discussions over the different battles that took place and the different skirmish tactics that were created. Major turning points throughout the Revolution will be discussed and analyzed. The course will also offer the point of views of each side. What were the motives of the British? Why did they issue the Stamp Act? How could this have all been avoided? These are questions that will be discussed and talked about for the duration of the unit. The course will conclude with discussions about what the result of the Revolution was and what were the long term effects on the global world. There will be various projects, tests, quizzes, readings, home work assignments and research to solidify the highlights of this course.
